Effective date: 16 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Avily, operated by Software for Pilots ("Avily", "we", "us"), collects, uses and protects information when you use the Avily mobile application and related services.
Information we collect
- Account and profile information: identifiers, name, email address, role, rank, employer-related profile details and information you choose to add.
- Memories and professional records: photos, captions, dates, locations, training records, signatures and other content you create or upload.
- Schedule and operational information: schedule or duty information you choose to import or process in Avily.
- Subscription information: product, entitlement and transaction status. Apple processes payments; Avily does not receive your complete payment-card details.
- Technical information: app version, device and diagnostic information, notification identifiers and service logs needed to operate, secure and improve Avily.
How we use information
We use information to provide Avily features; authenticate users; store and synchronize content; restore purchases; provide notifications; support users; prevent misuse; diagnose problems; and comply with legal obligations.
Photos, memories and alumni access
Content you save remains associated with your account until you delete it or request account deletion, subject to technical backup and legal-retention requirements. If you leave an airline and use Avily Alumni, your existing private memories remain available under the alumni features described in the app. Avily does not claim ownership of your photos or memories.
Service providers
Avily uses service providers to deliver specific functions. These may include Apple for App Store purchases, RevenueCat for subscription entitlements, Auth0 for authentication, Ditto for data synchronization, and OneSignal for notifications. These providers process information under their own privacy terms and only for the services they provide.
Sharing and sale of information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers that operate Avily, when you direct us to share it, to protect users or the service, or when required by law.
Data retention and deletion
We retain information while your account is active and as needed to provide Avily. You may delete individual content using available app controls. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information from Avily settings or by contacting us. Some information may remain temporarily in backups or be retained where legally required.
Your choices and rights
You may review or update profile information, manage photo and notification permissions in device settings, manage subscriptions through your Apple Account, and request access, correction, export or deletion of personal information. Applicable law may provide additional rights.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information. No electronic storage or transmission method is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Children
Avily is intended for adult aviation professionals and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
International processing
Avily and its service providers may process information in countries other than your country of residence. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Avily changes. We will publish the revised policy here and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app.
